Ceca_2Tammy Davis, a CNA with Manassas Health & Rehab Center was awarded a $2,500 award from the CECA Foundation.

CECA Foundation was established in 2013 to celebrate caregiver excellence.  CECA’s mission is to promote high patient satisfaction by recognizing and rewarding outstanding caregivers.

Monthly or quarterly award winners receive a $250 reward, and annual CECA Award winners receive a $2,500 prize.

Here’s a little information about Tammy:

How long have you been in long-term care?
I saw an ad in the newspaper for a nursing assistant class, I went on the interview, and I got accepted…that was 24 years ago.

What do you love most about your job?
I love to watch our patients’ journeys – from the first day, week by week, to the day they go home. It’s great to see the healing of their bodies and their hearts.

What are some of your favorite things to do?
I love date night with my husband Kevin. We’ve been married for 30 years. I also love teaching bible study classes and spending time with my grandchildren at Chuck E. Cheese.

How did you feel when you received the award?
My reaction that day says it all: overwhelmed and truly blessed. It was a day I will never forget. It was a day that all my peers and residents appreciated me as a co-worker and caregiver.

Congratulations Tammy! We appreciate your hard work and dedication.
