When asked how her experience at Manassas Health and Rehab Center was, Ms. Clarke replied, “Loved it. I look forward to therapy every time, I get excited going to therapy. The therapists were encouraging, they gave me gentle pushes, and they got excited when I got excited. They matched my enthusiasm.” Ms. Clarke mentioned that when she got here, she was scared and didn’t think she was able to make improvements, especially since she stated she was so weak after coming out of the hospital, “I was ready to walk out of here, but Therapy completely changed my perspective I 100% saw improvement right away. They built my strength up very, very quickly.” 

“Therapy is the best part of being here. All the therapists have been wonderful. Eva (PTA) is very encouraging, claps for me is always so positive, and exerts so much enthusiasm. When I want to push myself, she allows me to. And Kim (COTA) really looks out for me and my roommate, very kind, very encouraging, very good at explaining things, and sought to help me with things that I couldn’t do for myself. But, everybody in the therapy room is very kind and very willing to help.”  

She also wanted to recognize the nursing staff. “Nursing staff was amazing. Sara (RN) was absolutely above, and beyond every time we had her.” She tells us that she was on top of every request, no matter how big or small and that Sam (RN) and the auxiliary aide are also those that should be recognized. “Joann from the activities department is awesome too.”
