I hope you had a nice weekend. There are no significant COVID-19 updates to report this week.
Visitation Update
Effective Monday, August 2, the Center will be following the expanded visitation schedule below:
Monday-Friday: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Also beginning August 2, scheduling visits will no longer be required. We ask that each visit be limited to 2 guests per patient. All visitors are required to sign-in and complete a pre-screening questionnaire provided by the receptionist at the time of arrival. Visitors will be provided with education on core infection prevention principles that must be adhered to while in the Center. Prior to exiting the Center, all visitors are asked to sign-out with the receptionist. Please contact the Center if you wish to schedule larger group visits.
Changes Affecting Weekly Updates
Given the high rate of COVID-19 vaccination among staff and patients in the Center and the low number of positive cases in the Center this year, the information in our weekly updates has remained fairly unchanged in recent weeks. For this reason, we will begin posting the weekly COVID-19 updates to the Center’s website exclusively beginning August 1st, reserving text message and email notifications for positive case notifications and significant updates to Center operations such as visitation and special events as necessary. Our goal is to post the weekly update by Wednesday of each week.
We are committed to continuing to provide you with the most current information regarding COVID-19 in the Center on a weekly basis and as situations develop. The weekly COVID-19 updates may be viewed on the Center’s website: https://manassas-rehab.com/covid19-updates/.
County Positivity Rate: Increased to 3.0%.
Testing Frequency for Staff and Patients: Unvaccinated staff (if any) are tested weekly based on the county positivity rate. Patients and staff may be tested as needed based on symptoms, exposure, or during an outbreak.
PPE: The supply remains adequate. Staff receive ongoing education on appropriate PPE utilization.
